October feels like a fresh unlock—new doors opening, new dreams stirring, and new growth rising. This month carries a quiet momentum, reminding us that becoming is a daily choice and God is still expanding what’s inside of us. Step into October expecting more, growing boldly, and welcoming every good thing He’s preparing.

I’m excited to introduce my new “DO IT AFRAID!” gear—a message that represents more than just words on a shirt. It represents a mindset.

There will be moments in life when you feel nervous, uncertain, or even afraid to take the next step. But fear doesn’t always mean you should stop. Sometimes, it means you’re stepping outside of your comfort zone and into something new.

I’ve learned that you don’t have to wait until the fear disappears before pursuing your dreams. Start the business. Write the book. Use your voice. Take the opportunity. Walk through the door. DO IT AFRAID!

This gear is a reminder to keep moving forward with faith, courage, and purpose, even when you don’t have all the answers.

So, when you wear “DO IT AFRAID!”, I hope you’re reminded that courage isn’t always about being fearless—it’s about refusing to let fear make the decision for you.

I had the pleasure of speaking at the North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA) Finance, Administration & Medical Records (FAMI) Annual Conference, and what a wonderful experience it was!

Every opportunity I receive to stand before others and share a message is a reminder of how important it is to use your voice with purpose. This conference gave me the opportunity not only to speak, but also to connect with dedicated professionals who work every day to support public health throughout North Carolina.

I am grateful to NCPHA FAMI for welcoming me and allowing me to be part of this annual conference. The conversations, connections, and energy in the room made the experience even more meaningful.

As I continue this journey as an author, speaker, and encourager, I am reminded that sometimes we don't know where

our gifts will take us—we simply have to be willing to walk through the doors that open.

I am grateful for the opportunity, thankful for the experience, and excited about where God leads me next.

As October continues, I’m reminded that every new season brings opportunities to walk through new doors, dream new dreams, and embrace new growth. I may not know everything waiting on the other side, but I trust the One who is leading me there.

I’m learning to celebrate how far I’ve come while still making room for where I’m going. Some doors will require courage. Some dreams will require patience. And some growth will require me to become a version of myself I haven’t met yet.

So, I’m walking into this next season with faith over fear, purpose in my heart, and expectation for what’s ahead.

Here’s to new doors, new dreams, new growth—and the courage to DO IT AFRAID!
